It is the last day of 2020, and what a year it's been! I thought it would be appropriate to finish the year with the evening run. It was dark, raining (at times, snowing) - from an objective perspective it would be considered "miserable conditions" to run, but to me - it was perfect! Another sign how much I have changed since the Bored Runner/daily running streak started..

The longer and farther I run, the more I realize that what I am often chasing is a state of mind - a place where worries that seem monumental are melting away, where anything seems possible, where the present moment is all that matters - and it's just simply beautiful. It also helps to not only "survive" the COVID time, but "thrive" through it.

Goodbye 2020. Despite everything, I am very thankful for this year - many wonderful things happened, Bored Runner is one of them.

I am super optimistic and hopeful for 2021! It will be fun! Lot's of amazing things are coming!
