5.78 miles (total: 1761.72 miles)

Running at 9PM. There is nobody on the streets. No audience, no dog walkers, occasional cars.. just the earth and the sky (with stars and the moon) and the movement. The landscape and the dark diminishes me. Nature has a way of humbling and energizing - all at the same time. I had never felt so tiny, and yet I had never felt so big.

When I was a kid my mother would tell me "wherever you are, just look at the moon, I will also be looking at it too... and that way we would be looking at the same thing wherever we are in this world, almost as if we were next to each other". I was staring at the moon while running tonight, and teared up. Who knows, she might be looking at it right now, 6,000 miles away..
