6 miles

When you’re young, you have one speed - fast. As you get older (or as they say "mature"), you learn to vary your speed based on the situation: you know when to go slow, when to go full out.

So was today's run... at times it was slow on purpose, and at times it was running like mad.

Running down the hill can be such an unbelievable thrill-ride sometime - cars passing by less than a foot away from you, beautiful trees painted against the horizon, and the wide-open sky... oh, that, sky...

Some days I forget to look up, buried in my thoughts while on the run, but there are those days that just take your breath away - so many beautiful things outside.

I also find moments of laughter in these solo runs, especially with pain and some days delirium - this turns the entire melodramatic experience of daily running upside down for me. But I keep coming back to - this is all a mind game, and I damn sure not going to lose it.

Day 61. Done.
